wow. i had forgot to post on chapter six until this morning and the timing actually worked out because chapel's topic revolved around the notions of demons and there were references to c.s. lewis' screwtape letters. so cool to see God tying things together personally in my head. The passage i was drawn to is apu's passage of the year, James 2 and also Mark 1 and Acts 19 (where the sons of sceva try to cast out a demon in the name of paul and Jesus and get beaten bloody).

James 2:18-20 says  ¹⁸But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. ¹⁹ You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.²⁰ You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?

Letting faith spur deeds is huge i think. not out of misguided motive. also it gives me a practical view of putting on the armor of God and having a strong backbone of scripture to trust in.
