Chapter 7 Reflections:
"It is during the water ceremony on the last and greatest day of the Feast, says John, that Jesus cries out above the noisy crowd: "If you are thirsty, come to Me and drink;..." (DJ, .p.98)
"It is during the light ceremony that Jesus stands up and says, "I Am the Light of the kosmos. Anyone who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of Life..." (DJ, p. 99)
Jesus had perfect timing. He knew the exact event and moment when to speak up and proclaim who He was. Because the ancient worshippers were in the midst of the Feast of Tabernacles they would have been "in tune" with the analogies He was making (although they may not have been in agreement with the claims He was making).
Jesus has perfect timing. He knows the exact event and moment to speak up in our lives. He knows the scope and sequence of our lives. He knows when our lives need to be shaken up, and when He needs to go "radio silent" for a while. He knows where we need to be in our lives and when we need to be there. His timing is perfect....always.
