How crazy is that? "We are too gloriously constituted for 'stuff' to fill us" (54). We are filled with so much more than STUFF. And once again on page 56 DJ, well God, reminds me that my idea of my strength has nothing to do with this stuff- its all about the work of God in me, His Power, my weakness. So who am I to ask "What good are our little resources in light of the great number of people in need?" (56).
And once again I hear the call to relationship - to continual action
- "In the Greek they are in present tense , which emphasizes continual action : "keep on." Jesus is saying , "keep coming" and "keep believing." Whoever keeps on coming will never hunger. Whoever keeps on believing will never thirst" (63).
And the call on pg. 64 really gets me and sums up what this chapter is really saying
"I am that without which you cannot live. I Am the final satisfaction of the human soul. Come to Me, every day. Believe in Me, every day. I give you Myself as Living Bread"
AHH!
Only you can satisfy me Jesus
